While I do not bill insurance directly yet, I am comfortable helping people get reimbursed through their insurance.
Payments for sessions still must be made day of service.
HSA/FSA cards welcomed
How to get reimbursed for massage
- Call your insurance company and ask about using out of network benefits for massage, or reimbursement for massage. Print forms needed.
- Some insurances require a referral/ letter from your pcp. These are fairly easy to obtain, simply ask your pcp for a printed referral letter for massage. (pain, stress, mental health, etc)
- Bring forms to your appointment, I am comfortable helping fill the out properly. Some insurances allow 4 sessions per form, so be sure to store them safely.
- Mail forms and Dr letter to insurance.
- It can take a couple of months, your insurance will review the forms and when approved send a check to you.
You do need to pay upfront for your massage, the check insurance gives you is reimbursement to you.
If SOAP notes need to be released written consent is required, I make it simple by having my own release forms.
